Jay Dial - From Badge to Rodeo Showman

As a young boy, Jay Dial had two distinct dreams that would converge to create his entrepreneurial path: becoming a police officer and being involved in rodeo. These aspirations represented deeper values of service, protection, and community that continue to drive Jay today.

"I always wanted to be a cop, and I've always wanted to be a bull rider," Jay reflects. His law enforcement dream was inspired by Sergeant Kevin Aker, who rescued Jay's mother from an abusive relationship. His rodeo aspirations were fueled by heroes like Bob Tallman and Boyd Polhamus, whose influence remains present in his life.

For nearly a decade, Jay served in law enforcement with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. While his early rodeo experiences included bull riding, Jay found his calling behind the microphone. For 17 years, he worked as a rodeo announcer, developing a voice that became "absolutely a catalyst" to his current success.

The turning point came in 2021 when Jay realized that "completing the dreams of somebody else" was limiting his potential. He recognized his passion for rodeo announcing could become something more significant.

Today, as the founder of Triple J Rodeo, Jay has merged his childhood aspirations into a business that embodies service and community. When he speaks to thousands at rodeo events he created, it's the culmination of dreams that began with a boy who wanted to make a difference.
